Whether you’re a DIY enthusiast or plan to hire a contractor to help, our building kits are designed with ease of assembly in mind. Expect written instructions, diagrams, videos, online and telephone support. We're your building partner every step along the way!
Our kits are available in either a “pre-cut” format (think pieces) or a “pre-assembled” format (think panels/sections). In either case, your doors and windows will arrive as a fully assembled item. We pre-assemble as much of the building as possible while keeping the sections light enough to unload from a truck, carried by two people of average strength.
Each kit contains all the parts you need to build your structure. Everything is securely packaged and shipped directly to your site. When the building arrives, simply unload the truck, move the components to your assembly site, and get building! What could be easier?

installations
If your installation site is within a few hours of our Toronto location, Summerwood is happy to install your new pool house, gazebo, garage, cabin - or whatever your new outdoor addition may be.
Our team of experienced carpenters and craftsman know Summerwood's products inside and out, making the build quick, easy, and always done right. If backyard projects aren't your thing, or you're just strapped for time, then a Summerwood installation may be right for you.
Please note that additional fees may apply for installations outside of the Greater Toronto Area.
Even if you are outside of our typical installation area, we may be able to help! We have installers in northern New York state as well as we have a long list of experienced contractors from across the United States and Canada that we’d be happy to refer to you.

Many Summerwood buildings don't require a permit, however, buildings exceeding 100 to 160 sq. feet may. If you're not sure, it's best to check with your local zoning office. No worries though, if you do require a permit, we'll help make it as easy as possible to slice through all that red tape.
Ontario allows buildings up to 160 sq. ft., whereas most other areas in Canada and the United States allow structures up to 100 sq. ft..
Rest assured, we design our buildings to conform to the most rigid local building codes, so obtaining a permit will likely not be an issue. And if you require permit drawings, our in-house designers will provide custom drawings to your exact specifications. In rare cases where an engineered stamp is required, we can assist you with that as well.
While your Summerwood sales expert has great knowledge of permits, our Engineering team has even more! They are greatly experienced with permits for a variety of areas, including anywhere from Ontario to California, and will help make the experience as painless as possible.
